I was very disappointed by the massage and was wondering whether it was because I had brought it through Buy Club that the experience and response to my complaint was so poor. I had come one other time before to the Valmont Spa and had a good massage with a different person, but this time the experience was terrible. This was the first time ever in a spa that a masseuse did not ask me at the beginning of the massage how the pressure was and if there was a need to adapt the strength. This was particularly distressing as I had said at the beginning that I like strong massages, and yet she proceeded to give me the softest massage I have ever had. It certainly did not relieve any tensions, and on the contrary, was actually more stressful than relaxing as I was just waiting for the experience to end. When I complained to the reception they seemed to suggest it was because I had a relaxing massage instead of a pressure massage which would have cost 45 CHF more. I have had relaxing massages in numerous spas before, including in Geneva, and usually they adapt the pressure to the clients wishes. This is disappointing because even though I had the massage at a discounted price through the buy club voucher, it was still time and money which I wish I would have spent elsewhere.
