The Vallorbe Caves: Explore 120 Million Years in One Hour
The Vallorbe Caves are one of Europe’s most beautiful geological wonders, formed over the span of 120 million years. Located in the Yverdon-les-Bain region, the caves were formed by the River Orbe & boast mesmerizing limestone structures that amaze both young & old. You'll weave past intricate rock formations, crystalline "icicles" hanging from above & glowing water pools. At the end, you can see a fascinating collection of 250 minerals, the "Fairy Treasure Trove" and a sound & light show in the Cathedral.
The caves are just 1h20 from Geneva & 45 mins from Lausanne. The visit takes around 1 hour.
