Try this restaurant if you want truly authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The injera and wot, which is my touchstone in an Ethiopian meal, were amazing. The lentils, lamb tibs and beef were first class. Don't expect poshness but try this place, preferably in a group of four, if you want to enjoy the full range of the platter."

Having spent time in the Horn of Africa, we love to enjoy an evening at La Gazelle d'Or where one immediately gets into the atmosphere of a restaurant in Addis Ababa. The food is excellent, wonderfully spiced and well presented injeras, with tender lamb, beef and chicken. The welcoming and friendly service and the background Ethiopian music add to the authenticity of the experience. An excellent evening."
