Welcome to the New Royal India

Royal India has been a staple in Paquis for years, and was recently taken over by a new owner with new chefs, new menus and a new focus on North Indian Indian cuisine. We ate there last week (sometimes we take breaks, even at BuyClub), and loved it. The new owner really knows his stuff and is eager to make a great impression.  

Authentic North Indian Cuisine

Royal India focus on North Indian & Punjabi dishes, characterized by tasty gravies, extensive use of the tandoor (traditional clay oven) and generous use of chillies, saffron, milk, yoghurt & traditional Indian spices.  In short, there's lots of flavour.

Royal India also offers super tasty Persian dishes, building on the new owner's origins. Worth a try! 

Starter, Rice & Main of your choice

Today's offer is for a 'Discovery Menu' for 2 (CHF 49) or 4 (CHF 94) people, and each person can choose 1 starter & 1 main dish from the menu.  A side dish of rice is included for each dinner. The dishes we especially liked:

• Chicken Tikka (the classic)
• Mixed Tandoori - Mixed grill of chicken, lamb & fish
• Keema Samosa - Triangular pastry stuffed with lamb meat
• Zereshk polo Ba Morgh -  Persian rice w berries & saffron served with chicken or lamb-shank
