Château les Grands Chênes is a French Bordeaux from the Medoc region. Today's offer includes 12 bottles: 6 from the 2006 vintage plus 6 from the 2007 vintage.

Wine Description (by Stephen Tanzer, world famous wine critic)

For 2006 vintage:

"Bright ruby-red. Complex aromas of musky currant, dark raspberry, tobacco and nutty oak. Lush and smooth but with lift and vinosity to the currant and tobacco flavors. A sweet, suave midweight with considerable immediate appeal."

For 2007 vintage:

"Bright medium ruby-red. Ripe aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, licorice and roasted oak. Suave on entry, then firm and minerally in the mid-palate, with noteworthy definition to the perfumed dark fruit and sexy oak flavors. Comes across as pliant despite its brisk acidity. Finishes juicy and aromatic, with a fine dusting of tannins and a repeating mineral nuance. An outperformer for its humble appellation."
