Discover Scuba Diving With Go Dive

GO Dive is a diving school operated by Stefan Meincke - a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and EFR® Instructor.  They offer a wide array of diving courses for all levels and specialize in courses for small groups of 1-3 people where the instructor can give each participant the attention he/she deserves and where there is no pressure to ''keep up' or impress others.  Go Dive courses take place in Hermance and can be taken in English or German.

About the Course

The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course is the perfect way to try scuba diving and find out if you like it without commiting to a more advanced / expensive course. During the DSD course you’ll have:

• about 1 hour theoretical training covering basic skills and safety rules, then
• about 30 minutes to prep & learn how to use the scuba equipment, then
• about 1 hour of actual diving. 

The diving starts in the shallow water and, depending on your comfort level, you may go down to a max depth of  6 meters.  The course includes all the equipment you'll need and will be in a group of 1-3 people + a qualified instructor, so you always feel protected and safe.  After completing the course you'll get a first PADI 'Discover Scuba Certification' that can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver course at GO Dive (and is normally even accepted by other PADI dive schools worldwide!).

Where You'll Dive & What you'll see

The course takes place on a small beach in Hermance (20 minute drive from Geneva center or 30 minutes by bus from Rive).  The visibility is usualy good and you'll see some small wrecks, a miniature underwater music band, and many types of fish including the famous Lake Geneva Shark.  The beach has changing rooms, tolilets and even a cafe so you don't need to worry about the small stuff and can concentrate on having a great time.  

Get there on your own or be picked up

Hermance is 20 minutes from Geneva by car, or 30 minutes by bus (there's a bus from Rive). You can also schedule a pick up by Go-Dive from/to any spot in Geneva (and back) for an extra CHF 20 which you'll pay directly to Go-Dive.  To book the pickup & return service please mention this when booking your course with Go Dive. 

Bookings & Cancelation / Re-Scheduling Policy

Courses take 2.5-3 hours, and can be taken on Mon-Fri at 9:00-18:30 (9:00-16:30 from Sept).  Bookings are mandatory and can be done on +33 4 50 70 68 34, or +33 78 61 64 230 or info@go-dive.ch.  There's a lot of behind the scenes preparation needed from Go Dive for every course, so once you book your course you will NOT be able to cancel or change your time-slot unless you provide a note from a doctor proving that you're not able to attend.
