About IPL Hair Removal
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a safe, non-invasive and fast way to get rid of unwanted hair. With IPL, light beams are sent directly to the hair root to destroy the hair folicles while keeping the skin & surrounding area cooled & protected. IPL is considered to be faster, safer & less painful than laser hair removal. Damien & Co use latest generation IPL technology and all treatments are given by trained and certified technicians.
How Many Sessions & How Often?
You’ll see immediate results with each session, but most people need 6-7 sessions for complete permanent results. Each session takes around 30 minutes (+ 10 minutes for setup & preparation) and you’re advised to wait at least 4 weeks between each session. It's recommended to shave (no waxing which would leave the hair thinner) in between sessions in order to thicken the hair & thus improve the removal procedure.
Does This Work On All Hair Colors?
IPL works best on dark hair and does not work on blond, red or very light colored hair.
Can you use IPL during the summer months?
The treated areas should not be exposed to direct sun 15 days before & after the treatment. So either get the treatments now if you know you won't be going into the sun, or get the treatments after summer (the vouchers are valid until Dec 31 2011).
Is It Safe?
IPL is non-invasive & considered safe, but pregnant women, people with heart problems, people taking certain drugs and people with very dark skin can not undergo the treatments. You'll need to sign this consent form before starting the treatments so please take a minute to go over it.
