A unique experience:
Ethiopean food is all about sharing: fresh food is served on a communal big platter, and scooped up using traditional Injera bread. It's unique, delicious & fun, and creates a real bond. Drop by on Saturday nights to see the traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, live. The whole African experience at Awash is different than any other restaurant in Geneva, and we highly recommend trying it.

Ethiopian cuisine is varied and meant to be shared. Awash's tasting menu was designed to allow you to enjoy some of the classic Ethiopian dishes and includes 3 types of meat & 3 vegetable dishes.

Meat:

Lamb Tibs - cubes of lamb w green onions & peppers in traditional sauce
Chicken Doro Wat - chicken marinated in lemon juice, braised in a berbere paprika sauce
Beef Zigni - cubes of beef simmered with mixed herbs, onions, green pepper & ginger

Vegetables:

Gomen - chopped vegetables cooked with mixed herbs
Misir - lentils w onions & spices in a paprika sauce
Kik - mashed yellow peas w onion, groundnut oil, green pepper & garlic
